I'm a computer tinkerer, programming craftsman, an existentialist "uomo parziale". I'm driven by the desire to understand the Machine, and I don't understand what I haven't written. Re-inventing the wheel taught me most of what I know about my favorite topics.
Cycling, music of all kinds, architecture, and photography are ever-present things in my life. I have many interests, far from enough time for all of them.

I always have something going on. Some projects are closer to a finished state, others were nothing but learning tools. Most never made it public.
Playground
What do you do with a Rust eBPF VM targetting WASM? Well, you play Snake, obviously (because DOOM was too complex). The game engine is written in Rust, targetting eBPF, executed by the VM.
Photos
Photography has always been a big part of my family's identity. It was only natural that I adopted this ethos. There's no style I aim for, though most fits into street photography. I like watching people go about their lives.
I'm a big believer in practicality. The only camera I carry is a small, mirrorless Fuji X-E4 with a wrist cuff from Peak Design for easy access. Two lenses, mainly the XF 35mm f1.4 R, but also an XF 27mm f2.8 pancake.
My previous gear was a big, clunky Canon DSLR with a heavy Sigma 80mm, inherited from my sister. The less friction, the more I press the shutter.
While I can't vividly recall what these moments were like to me, I can imagine what they were like to the person at the stage.
